It has been estimated that almost 10,000 restaurants per year call 911 because of kitchen fires!
Regular maintenance of a restaurant's kitchen exhaust system is one of the primary ways to guard against fire hazards.
The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) reports that the majority of restaurant fires originate on kitchen cooking appliances then flare into the kitchen exhaust system. Regular maintenance of these systems will keep them working at their best and is required by law.
Boston Power Wash performs all of our work in accordance with Code 96 of the National Fire Protection Association. NFPA 96 is the directive code on fire protection for commercial cooking operations. NFPA 96 covers cooking equipment, hoods, grease removal devices, exhaust duct systems, fans, fire suppression systems, and clearance to combustibles.
